FuelFit is a nutrition tracking and diet coaching application. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our app. We believe your health data is yours alone.
2. No Accounts, No Tracking
FuelFit does not require you to create an account. We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavior tracking
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
3. Data Stored Locally
All data you create in FuelFit is stored exclusively on your device (using local databases like IndexedDB/localStorage). This includes:
- Meal entries and nutrition logs
- Water intake records
- Personal settings (weight, goals, dietary preferences)
- AI provider API keys (stored only on your device using the platform’s built-in secure storage — iOS Keychain on Apple devices and Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage on Android)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.
4. AI Features & Photo Analysis
FuelFit offers AI-powered food photo analysis and diet coaching. When you use these features:
- You must provide your own API key for your chosen provider (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI, MiMo, Qwen)
- Your AI provider API keys are stored only on your device using the platform’s built-in secure storage — iOS Keychain on Apple devices and Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage on Android (via
capacitor-secure-storage-plugin). They are never sent or shared with third parties, or stored in plain text in the app’s local database (IndexedDB or localStorage). - Keys are transmitted directly from your device to your chosen AI provider over HTTPS only when you use food photo analysis or AI coach.
- We do not intermediate, log, or store any images, keys, or AI responses.
Please refer to the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider for how they handle images and data.
5. No Third-Party Analytics
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. The app contains no trackers.
6. Data Security
Your data is stored using the device's native storage mechanisms. We recommend enabling device encryption (passcode/biometric lock) for additional protection. Since we don't have servers, there is no cloud data breach risk from our side.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data persists only on your device. You can delete all data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Uninstalling FuelFit permanently removes all locally stored data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. We will not send notifications, as the app has no account system.
